Eager
to read Truth Devour’s, Sated, I found
myself finishing this novel in just 1 ½ days. I could not wait to see what
Devour had in store for the main character, Talia. Was Talia going to let down
her guard? Was this guy really her soulmate? What new expeditions would she
take; and what lives would she touch? However, Sated took a different path unlike Wantin and Unrequited. Talia
is no longer the secure woman readers have grown to love. Instead, she has
somehow morphed into this sappy, insecure, uncertain, love stricken woman that
is so different from the Talia in books I and II. But why?
Why
did Devour transform Talia into a typical love-craved, hormonal, indecisive
woman when she was everything but typical?
Was Devour’s intention to show us how true love changes a person? Was it
because at some point, in order for Talia to obtain all that she was deserving
of she had to open herself to love? I am not certain what Devour’s intention
were, but if you’re thinking this book is going to be similar to the first
two…let me tell you this, “It is everything but similar.”
I
was somewhat disappointed with how the story evolved, but then again, when I
allowed this book to stand alone without comparing it to the first two novels,
I can honestly say, “This is a great love story.” To refrain from this review
being a spoiler, I will only tell you that everything that Talia desired and
everything she’d denied finally becomes her reality. I can also tell you that
yet again I found myself weeping as the story evolved and was very upset with
how the book ended. There were parts in this read that really pulled at my
emotions and others that helped me to believe that true love does exist. This
is another MUST READ!
I give
“Sated” 4 out of 5 stars.
Happy
