Reviving the Literary World, One Book at a Time!

Out with the old and in with the new! Australian native Truth Devour is redefining the literary world and has many wondering, “Should the shelves inside libraries and bookstore be occupied by new authors?”

CINCINNATI, Ohio February 1, 2016
Is the publishing world really crumbling? According to Quartz, “Print books are making something of a comeback.” But is it due to the more established authors kicking into high gear with new works? T’s Blogging, a blogger for McWood Publishing’s - We Said It: Literary Reviews, does not seem to think so.

“I read countless books and frankly, I’m sick and tired of the same old stuff. The publishing industry needs new faces. And with the rising number of self-published authors shaking things up, I believe their hunger and new ideas is catching the attention of readers,” said T’s Blogging.

The blogger pitched her thoughts about the state of the literary industry to McWood, and their team agreed. We Said It: Literary Reviews was created to allow new authors the opportunity to receive free, honest, and professional reviews. In less than two years McWood’s review department has grown, and it is all due to the hundreds of request submitted by authors hoping to get their voices heard. As well as the countless book lovers and avid readers looking for fresh new worlds.

One of those voices was self-published author and Australian native, Truth Devour. The author submitted four books for review (Wantin, Requited, Sated, and Illuminarium). Three of the submissions received the #PublisherRead stamp, which qualified the books to be entered into We Said It’s - 2015 Reader’s Choice Awards.

Truth Devour’s first novel Wantin, in her Enigma Series, was voted by readers as the winner of the 2015 Reader’s Choice Awards.

T’s Blogging had the chance to interview Truth Devour, and she was very excited about her win. The award winner also gave insight into her intentions in regards to the series, and answered reader’s dying questions.

“I’m happiest when I allow myself to simple be me. I do what I want and aim to harm no one in the process,” Truth Devour stated when asked, “What she has learned along her journey of self-discovery?”

No one should be surprised by the author’s response. Truth Devour is a huge promoter of individuality and self-discovery and is quoted as saying on her website, “Live the journey of self and devour thy own truth.”

T’s Blogging believes Truth Devour is the #mustread author of today’s literary era. “She surely knows how to keep the mind entertained,” said T’s Blogging.

In fact, in her 2014 review of Wantin the blogger wrote, “As a reader, you visualize what Talia sees and experience every penetration. As her heart breaks so does yours, and unknowingly you submit to the reality that you are more like her than you could’ve ever imagined from just looking at the cover….”

 More About the Author

The award winner has been telling stories, writing them, dreaming about them before she could crawl. Writing, reading, music, poetry, photography and painting are just a few of the spaces she tends to dabble within. It's her passion & a joy.

In 2013 Truth Devour decided to enter the world of self-publishing and launched the first book, 'Wantin.' By 2014 the author completed the trilogy and set straight to work on her next series labeled the Soliloquy's Labyrinth.
