Noir's "G-Spot"

Title: Juicy
“G-Spot” by Noire

Reviewed by T’s Blogging

Good morning family, friends, and page watchers. It took me only one day to finish this book. Talk about AMAZING! Okay, so most readers will automatically draw a few similarities between The Coldest Winter Ever and G-Spot. However, in truth, the only similarities between the two novels would be the heart and soul both urban authors had while writing their books. G-Spot has this urban flare, with an erotic and sexual tension that is entangled with a storyline that will have you screaming, blushing, and praying as you become so involved.
Noire’s invites readers into Juicy’s life, which is filled with hardship, grief, death, loneness, drama, and the need to survive. No surprise Juicy ended up with G, Harlem’s heartless, big timing drug dealer.
Without giving too much of the story away, I must tell you this, “Do not be like me and assume that this book is only about the sweet spot most woman crave to have touched.” Noire offers more than the obvious. This story was masterfully told and there is nothing I would change—well, except what happened to Juicy in toward the end. It was difficult getting through those last few chapters, but it was indeed sweet after reading the last page.
Thank you Noire for giving us more than just the same ole’ predictable erotic read.

I give "G-Spot" 5 STARS!

Until next time,

Bella Jewel & Lauren McKellar's "Til Death: Part II"

Title: Erotic Part II
“Til Death: Part II” by Bella Jewel & Lauren McKellar

Reviewed by T’s Blogging

Good morning family, friends, and page watchers. After reading Bella Jewel's book one, I could not help but to read book two. OMG moment! As well as a roller coaster ride. Katia is a hot mess and readers will see just how a scorn woman behaves, what she looks like, and just how far she’s willing to go for the sweet taste of revenge.

While Part II picks up perfectly where Part I leaves off, I promise, readers will be shocked by how different Katia is. It’s as if she did a complete 180. And honestly, booklovers will be applauding her strength as well as become frustrated with her inability to see pass the betrayal.

Instead of Katia being this venerable woman, Marcus slips into that role and that makes for a very interesting change.

Author Bella Jewel and Lauren McKellar stay true to the cheek flushing erotic sex scenes and the fast pace of the story. Honestly, there is nothing that could be added or taken out of this novel. I was excited by the many chin-dropping sections and innocent humor. Readers grab a tissue because Jewel and McKellar will demand it!

I give Til Death Part II 5 stars

Until next time,

HOT TOPIC: E.L. James

E.L. James Sets the Erotic Tone

What's happening to the erotic genre?

Over the years, countless book lovers and critics claim E. L. James’ erotic trilogy was poorly written. Some in BDSM relationships have argued that the movie as well as the novels are nothing more than soft porn and never really summarizes a BDSM relationships. Critics have said it all! Yet, one thing the haters refuse to mention, James is smiling all the way to the bank, because there’s countless people that appreciate and enjoy her kinky imagination.

Of course, there is no way to forget how similar 50 Shades of Grey mirrors Twilight, but let’s not go there. Instead, let’s discuss how so many are biting their nails and wiggling in their seats for the theater release of 50 Shades Darker. Moreover, let’s discuss how James changed the erotic genre and took that section of the book shelf from the boring romance novels to kink.

The romance genre had become so saturated with the same old storyline that honestly, the books were predictable. But then came James. No pun intended. Oh my goodness, James birthed a genre that opened up the underground world of BDSM.

People are more in tune with their sexual needs and desires, because of James.

However, some book lovers are suggesting that as quickly as James birthed the genre other authors are saturating it with the same old storylines, the same kind of male dom's as well as the same old clueless women that are turned out. But are the critics, right? Leave your comments below.

Before wrapping this up, all hell breaks loose in book II. Let us know if you enjoyed the movie today.

Laurell K. Hamilton's Affliction

Title: Comes With Everything
Affliction by Laurell K. Hamilton

Good morning family, friends, and page watchers. Talk about a fast pace novel with some of the most entertaining, chin dropping, and arousing love scenes that will have reader's blood boiling. It took me only one day to finish this page turner. And by the end of the day, I was surfing the internet for more.
Author Laurell K. Hamilton has very intriguing imagination that captures book-lover's attention. This story is written with such an easiness that despite the main character, Anita Blake, crazy life, readers can settle right into the story. However, I have to admit there's one flaw that unfortunately I could not overlook. There's so many characters and moving parts that at times keeping track of everyone felt like a chore. Then again, in all fairness, I did drop into Hamilton's world without reading the first book(s), which is probably why it felt as if I had been thrown into a world filled with countless were-animals with back stories unknown to me.
Since I refuse to spoil this read for you, let me keep this review short and sweet. There's sex, killings, physical combat, and oh yeah, a freaking outbreak of zombies killing and turning people.

Laurell K. Hamilton you have gained another book lover fan. I give "Affliction" 4 stars.

L.D. Rose's "Releasing the Demons"

Title: A Publisher’s Read!!!
Releasing the Demons” by L. D. Rose

Sick of hairy werewolves and heatless vampires? Word on the street, the time of the beasts is dwindling…, well that was until L.D. Rose’s “Releasing the Demons.” A story about a haunted hybrid and his gorgeous, but dangerous brothers, which has reader’s hearts pulsating with caution all the while blushing as they become intoxicated by the bother’s human quality of compassion.

Readers are invited into a world in which earth is plagued by blood thirsty leeches. And while mankind attempts to extinguish these predators, the truth of the matter is they are losing the fight. With the help of the “superheroes,” as they are called by the citizens within the book, we learn that these heroes are governmental, scientific creatures that are both monster and protectors. These hybrids, all of whom are capable of controlling their internal beast, fight to restore the world. However, there is one…, Blaze. Yes, he is everything one can image simply by speaking his name. Blaze, the bad boy with a chip on his shoulder with his exotic features and body of a god is captured and tortured by a leech, Cyrus, who craves power and strength. Yet, in order for Cyrus to obtain it, Blaze will be mentally and physically tormented until he releases the leech buried inside of him. And guess what folks? You are going to love it!

Rose does not saturate the story with sappy love, instead the author stays true to the characteristics of the beasts as well as their human side. Brilliantly scaling the lines between viciousness, violence, heated sex, and romance readers will find themselves bingeing as they crave for more. Never before has an author been able to satisfy every yearning, but Rose has done just that.

It is my hope that this is not the end of the Order of the Senary, because this is the new #mustread and we book lovers have not had enough of Blaze or his brothers.

I give “Releasing the Demons” 5 out of 5 stars and title it “A Publisher’s Read.”

Happy Reading

H.L. Leroy's "Remember the Dead"

Title: Not Your Typical Bottle of Jack
Remember the Dead” by H.L. Leroy

Have you ever wanted to get inside the head of a famous detective? Well you’ll get the chance to if you pick up H.L. Leroy’s novella Remember the Dead, a mystery thriller that takes place in the world of author J.A. Konrath. The story follows Lieutenant Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels and Jillian Varela, a private investigator from California, who work together to catch a sadistic serial killer known only as the “Parkside Strangler.” With her job on the line and Chicago politicians breathing down her neck, Jack races against time to solve the case before it’s too late.

Author H.L. Leroy weaves together an incredibly entertaining cast of characters together to tell a riveting story about drugs, sex, and murder. His witty dialogue, unforgettable scenes, and fascinating plot twists make it impossible to put the story down and leave you hungry for more. At times piece is outrageously funny, disarmingly clever, and yet deadly serious which is how it’s able to grip the reader’s attention and not let go. Featuring a strong female protagonist with enough sass to blow up the city, this novella has the reader hanging on Jack’s every word and rooting for her until the very end.

Remember the Dead is heavily cliché at times, but still enjoyable because of the snappy storyline. From time to time it is difficult to read because, although it’s intended for a mature audience, it reads like a YA fiction due to its simple, concise writing. Moreover, the reader is often told what is happening instead of shown the scene through detailed imagery. Additionally, the characters come off as caricatures which is why some of their mannerisms come off as unbelievable at times.

However, this novella is still a fun and intriguing read.

I give “Remember the Dead” 3 out of 5 stars.

Cheers,

B. Smart
